It’s one thing to see a mother/daughter duo snap a couple of selfies together and then let social media decide who’s mom and who’s daughter. But to take on a 100 day challenge to be a better you for health purposes and for your kids, that’s a challenge worth sharing and documenting.
Single mom, Cheryl of New Jersey and daughter Tessa made a commitment earlier this year to shed 100 pounds together. Though they dropped a combined total of 74 pounds in 100 days, the before and after pictures look stunning!!! And guess what, they’re keeping it going! Besides, it’s a lifestyle and we’re proud of them both.

Seems absurd right! Yeah, and so does living paycheck to paycheck seem to be so normal.
It doesn’t have to be that way, yet 71% of moms are in the workforce, and half need an additional income of what they already bring home. Women in the workforce and education levels have increased significantly and this shows that highly skilled women fleeing job opportunities and juggling family are becoming more and more obsolete.
Sarah Titus was left with just $5 to her name, the kids, no gas and homeless when her ex-husband just took off. She had to figure it out all on her own. Listen to me clearly – Singleness is not a disease. Let me say it again – Singleness is NOT a disease. So stop running from it. Stop jumping from one relationship to another. Stop denying yourself the opportunity to heal, grow and be ALONE!
I’ve been there. I’ve lowered my standards. I even lied to myself saying I was cool with not having a title. And if you’ve done some adulting (I know it’s not a word, but you understand), you have too! You have dealt with the period of being single again and found out that it’s not that bad after all. (pat yourself on the back)
Psssss…. I have a little secret, I think I’ve become a little too confortable with being single too – that’s the scary part, but we’ll have that conversation in another blog.
